Practicum week was awesome & the eyes are coming along

I got lots of great ideas for my library during my week in Logan. I can't wait to get back to work and get them rolling.
It's one week after PRK surgery and I'm seeing pretty well.  The first 5 days of recovery were difficult, irritating and a test of patience.  My vision is much better than it was before without my glasses but it's still fuzzy.  Working on the computer is a challenge.  I went out and did a couple of errands including picking out my first pair of real sunglasses.  It feels great to get out of the house and be independent again.  I can't wait to get out and golf!  I also have some research to do before going to Michigan... I've got lighthouses, waterfalls and the Pictured Rocks National Seashore to scope out.

Anxious for school to end.

The end is in sight. I've been up in Logan for three days and learned a ton from the media specialists there. I took so many notes it will take me forever to get through them. I've been inspired!! I can't wait to start implementing all the great ideas. I'm also tired of assignments.. unfortunately I still have about five to do between now and Monday. Logan was beautiful and it's been fun to stay with Kelsey and Cali for a few days and catch up.

Well.. the kids are gone!

Yesterday was the last day of school for the students... and the teachers. Yeah!! This morning I took some time away from school to go play tennis with Lisa and the girls. This is the second week in a row. It's really fun for me to get some time with Lisa and play tennis again. We're both trying to get some more exercise so we might as well enjoy it along the way. I was supposed to go golfing Thursday night with my district team leader but it rained all day on Wednesday and Thursday morning. :(  After tennis I went to work and started clearing out the area that will soon be my new office. I'm looking forward to moving out of the back storage room! I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Now I'll be able to have windows out to the library and not have to run back and forth to the back room to get work done on the computer. Next week I go up to Logan and there's only two weeks before I get some new eyes!!!
