I'm Building!!

I've been thinking about getting a house for quite a while and I finally decided to jump on it. The rates are so low right now and I'd be crazy not to get a new home. I looked at a bunch of existing homes and couldn't see myself in any of them. I started going through model homes and determined that a new build would be the way to go for me. Now it's on to finding a lot and a builder. At first I was hooked on a Richmond America home but it fell threw. I loved the floor plan so wanted to get something very similar. My realtor brought in a builder that she had worked with in the past and thought they would have something that would suit me. It seemed to be a good match. Their realtor showed me a few lots and I fell in love with one. It's across the street from an elementary school in West Jordan.

April 30th

The LOT... pretty isn't it. Don't mind the weeds. They've been there for a while. This will work great for the size of the house and still give Jackson a great big yard.

May 8th

The hole is dug.

May 9th

The footings are in place.

May 12th

The foundation is up.



May 17th


The slab is poured.

Took my friend Joey and our two "kids" down to the house. Not too happy about all the cracks.

May 25th


Took a friend and her kids over to the house so they could see it. Her son had a great time climbing my dirt pile out back.



May 31st

The walls are up and you can see the layout coming to life.
