Evans Family Christmas Party

There were a lot of family that didn't make it to the party this year. I always miss Jason and his family but I think about them whenever we go to see the rest of the extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and of course Grandma and Grandpa. Most of us got pictures with
Grandma and Grandpa.

Here's a few more pictures from that night

I left a bit early to go see the Forgotten Carols over at Cottonwood High. It was the first time I'd been and I loved it. I think it will be one of my own family traditions! If you haven't been, you should really put it in your schedule for next holiday season.

I got my lights up around the entry way and the patio. They've acted sooo weird. Some of the lights will come on then some go off, they chase one way then the other then stay on solid. I think they have a mind of their own and change things up every time they come on at night. The boys at the neighbor house love the lights and look out their bedroom window at night before they go to bed. Cute. I wish there was some snow to go with the lights though. I'm still working on the Christmas tree and decorations in the house. Hope I get them done before Christmas gets here!

Thanksgiving 2011

The five day break for Thanksgiving this year sure went by fast. Wendy and Miranda were in town for most of the week and I spent the majority of my time with them and their family.

On Thanksgiving day Wendy, Miranda, Pati and I went to a new restaurant and had dinner. Miranda couldn't wait to get some pie there.

After we got back I went out to Lisa's where my family was having Thanksgiving dinner. I got there in time for one of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions... Martinelli's apple cider and pie! Pretty tasty stuff if you ask me.

On Friday I went down to Pati's house for Thanksgiving dinner. We had quite the spread of food. Miranda and Wendy did most of the cooking that morning and it was all delicious!

This year I have many things to be thankful for:
Family
Friends
Jackson
Home
Career
Health
Talents
Ability to do things I enjoy (travel, play sports, draw, take pictures)
Music
Time
The scriptures
My relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ
The Holy Ghost that constantly guides me
Loving bishopric, ward family, home & visiting teachers
My testimony of the Gospel and the blessings it brings to my life. It gives me a firm foundation that I can always rely on. It brings joy to me and offers me a place of safety and comfort. I love my Savior and hope all can find the love he offers them. Thank you to all of you who share your wonderful lives with me and provide such great examples to follow.

Fun stuff

Hanging out with Mackenzie and Alexis
One of the neighbor boys drew the picture. His mom wrote down what he said on the sidewalk too. I laughed when I read it. It really brightened my day!

Baseball and fireworks

I was invited to go to a Bees game with some great friends. The game was good... it was pretty much a blowout. Afterwards we got to watch some fireworks over the field. They were great!

Vacation to Jason's

This summer I was able to go out to my brother's place in Pennsylvania. It was so great to see him and his family. The nieces and nephews are growing up sooo fast. I took Jackson with me of course and he got a real workout for 10 days! My parents were there for a week before I arrived then left a day before I did. We all went miniature golfing, took a wagon ride in Amish country, celebrated a couple of birthdays, played touch football in the back yard, played tennis, jumped on the trampoline, went to church together and had an overall good time.

What a cute family!
Is that legal?

I gotta have one of these! The Amish kids rode them around.
Ahh! Kisses!

It's been a long time!

I decided to look at my blog for the first time in... well, a long time. Two crazy years have passed and a ton has happened but hopefully I can start fresh again with posts of what's happening. Hopefully I can get some things together to post this weekend. Come back later!
